RSD Events

This section of our website is where will post any up-coming RSD

events that will be taking place around the RSD community.

Triumph over Pain 5K / Family 1 Mile Fun Run, which is taking place on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Cooper Aerobics Center at Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness of Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD), also known as complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) – a neurological disease characterized by intense, chronic pain – and to support the Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Association (RSDSA) – a national nonprofit organization.

Triumph over Pain is not only a 5K / Family Fun Run; the event provides an opportunity for RSD patients to network and learn about treatment options. Your generosity and dedication to improving the quality of life for the estimated 200,000 to 1.2 million Americans currently living with RSD will be showcased by giving your organization tremendous online web exposure via www.triumphoverpain.org to hundreds of patients and medical professionals.

We respectfully request your support to build TOP’s momentum. Please view the attached list to find a level of sponsorship that suits your organization. Whether it is providing a $2,000 sponsorship or a raffle prize donation, participating in the race as a runner, or providing volunteers on race day, your support is greatly appreciated. Depending on your level of support, your company’s logo will appear on the race t-shirts, will be displayed on the main staging area or will be printed on event fliers.  In addition to making race day a success, your sponsorship will help fund clinical research and trials, patient education and community outreach events.

We  look forward to working with you in making the Triumph over Pain event a successful first time venture.  Your donation will help the RSD community unite and raise awareness for this chronic pain disorder. If you have any questions, please contact Tricia Scott, Event Coordinator at (214) 724-7572 or by email at tricia@triumphoverpain.org.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Sincerely,

Triumph Over Pain Race Committee

Tricia Scott
